About Denise
Denise Waldron is a Deacon and studied at St. Francis Seminary and is licensed to marry couples in Ontario.
While her face may not be familiar – Denise's voice and byline may be.
As a long time journalist, Denise’s work has appeared in newspapers and magazines. You have likely heard her news casts of Bounce FM, Pure Country and Move. Her stories are regularly picked up by the Canadian Press.
Denise received the Extraordinary Woman of Kawartha Lakes in Communications award from Women's Resources. The award is given to women who raise public awareness or improved communications about issues and needs for individuals, organizations or community initiatives.
When she is not digging for news stories you will find Denise on the local trails enjoying the beauty of Kawartha Lakes.
Denise is involved in many local charities. She volunteers as the chairperson for Habitat for Humanity Kawartha Lakes Community Awareness Team and also sits on the executive.
